On Tuesday, February 10th, Reel Construction inspected the water damage to the home of Tom and Michelle Burke. The water damage to the property was extensive; however with the help of insurance proceeds, an opportunity to remodel the house was presented and taken.
An abbreviated summary of remodeling is listed below:
Kitchen: Cabinets and layout, slate flooring, granite countertops, appliances and lighting.
Dining room: Removing wall that created an opening to the family room and slate flooring.
Family room: Slate flooring.
Living room: Adding cabinet into stair well and slate flooring.
Stairs: New balusters/railing and slate flooring.
Loft: Closing-in of the loft and adding a closet, transforming loft into a bedroom.
Master bed: Splitting the master bedroom by adding a wall with French doors, creating a sitting room, adding cabinets and removing a closet.
Master bath: Heated tile floor, vanity with granite vanity top, jetted tub & custom shower.
The property has a complete new look and functionality, for the better.
The remodel was started the 20th of April and finished the 19th of August. The Burkes were intimately involved in the remodel of their house and are very pleased with the final product. In addition to the Burkes being happy with the remodel, we at Reel Construction are pleased and proud of our work.
